January 27, 2014ROCK HILL, S.C. – ( January 17, 2014 ) – Comporium announced today that it will soon add the Yale Real Living™ intelligent door locks product line for its connected home service, which it calls ReadyHome. The company said that it expects to make it available before the end of March.
Comporium said that its security, monitoring and automation business is supported by iControl Networks, based in Palo Alto, Calif. Yale Locks and iControl Networks recently announced that the Yale Real Living™ intelligent locks product line had been certified and would be included in the platform’s already extensive portfolio of smart home devices.
“Our ReadyHome customers will soon be able to control locks remotely by using a mobile app or PC using the web portal,” said Comporium’s Glenn McFadden, executive vice president and COO. “They may also establish schedules and event-based rules for locking and unlocking doors. For example, a customer could set a rule to lock a door after 10 p.m., or when the security system is armed.”
The Yale Real Living™ door locks are available in two styles: a touchscreen or push button keypad. The locks also come in several finishes.
Comporium said the Yale locks will be launched as the same time it plans to offer a wireless energy efficient LED light bulb that can last up to 35,000 hours, a new stylish thermostat with touchscreen controls and a smaller and sleeker door/window sensor.
