Comporium Launches Seven Exciting New Channels

December 28, 2016ROCK HILL, S.C. — (Nov. 21, 2016) — Today Comporium announced that it has added Touchscreen Video Recording (TVR) to its ReadyHome security and home-automation product.
“TVR is the most dynamic system upgrade since the introduction of connected door locks,” said Matthew Dosch, executive vice president of customer operations and external affairs. “It gives users added security and flexibility by allowing them to store up to a full week’s worth of recorded video.”
TVR allows ReadyHome customers to record and view continuous videos from one camera at a time for 24 hours a day for up to seven days. The new TVR feature works by storing video from a single camera source on an encrypted SD card inserted into the user’s touchscreen. Users can record and view up to 168 continuous hours of video broken into one hour segments. After that limit is reached, the oldest video clips will be replaced with new video. The stored video can also be transferred from the touchscreen onto a USB drive.
TVR’s timeline slider feature allows users to select a specific time to begin playback, instead of requiring them to start playback at the beginning of the segment. Users can also navigate video playback by selecting an event to view from the event panel and starting the playback 5 seconds before the event. This allows users to view video from specific events such as a system arm/disarm, a sensor event, or a door lock event.
TVR is available to both new and existing ReadyHome users. It is important to note that only systems with ICAM2 or LG Titan cameras will be able to utilize the new TVR feature. Also, video recorded using TVR is only viewable from the touchscreen; it is not viewable from the Subscriber Portal, Management Portal or the Mobile App at this time.
