ROCK HILL, S.C. – ( June 03, 2014 ) – Comporium today announced the launch of its new customer rewards program, “Go Local.” This new program provides residential customers, who subscribe to three or more core services (i.e., local telephone/long distance, high-speed Internet, digital video, security monitoring) or a promotional price bundle, with special deals from local businesses.

“This is a win-win not just for retailers and bundle customers, but also for the community as it is focused on ‘shopping local’ and promoting local economic growth,” said Comporium’s Matthew Dosch, executive vice president of customer operations and external affairs.

Comporium Media Services continues to solicit partners in the service, retail, entertainment, and dining industries to participate in the program. In return, the businesses receive focused marketing exposure through Comporium. They also obtain access to thousands of residential Comporium customers in York and Lancaster counties who subscribe to a qualifying Comporium bundle.

Participating customers will have the option of printing or showing (via mobile phone) a select coupon or voucher to receive the deal. Some of the participating businesses are as follows: Legacy’s Child & Palmetto Shop, Wireless Repair & Service Rewards, The 5 & Dime Thrift Shop, Studio 1450 Salon & Spa, The Peach Stand, LJ Dezigns, Norman Hege Jewelers, and Carolina Plastic Surgery.

In addition, these Comporium customers will have the option to have Comporium donate their bundle or promotional discount savings to United Way of York County or to United Way of Lancaster County. The donation will be made in the customer’s name and Comporium may opt to match the customer’s donation up to 100 percent.
