March 3, 2016ROCK HILL, S.C. – (Dec. 29, 2015) – Bryant Barnes, Comporium Inc.’s president and chief executive officer, announced today that Kevin Cage has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer effective Jan. 1, 2016.
Cage has recently been serving as vice president – financial planning and analysis for South Carolina’s 14th largest privately owned company. Cage joined Comporium in 2007. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) and also a certified global management accountant. Cage replaces Dan Robertson, who had served as EVP and CFO for Comporium until his recent retirement.
Cage’s primary role at Comporium, the 13th largest telephone company in the U.S. and among the nation’s largest 35 cable TV operators, is to provide financial insight as to strategic direction and the outcome of business decisions. His responsibilities include business analysis and decision support, internal and external financial reporting, cash management and banking relationships.
A native of the Carolinas, Cage earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Following graduation in 1982, he joined Arthur Andersen & Co. as an auditor until 1986 when he joined Springs Industries. At Springs, Cage served as vice president – strategic planning and vice president of financial planning and analysis. Cage also worked at Spring’s European operations in Belgium and Germany.
Cage and his wife, Brenda, reside in Waxhaw and have two grown daughters.
