August 28, 2015BREVARD, N.C – ( August 18, 2015 ) – Comporium recently presented Brevard College with a surplus truck to be used for the school’s catering and campus activities. Brevard College’s Vice President for Business and Finance Deborah Hall accepted the keys and title to the vehicle from Comporium General Manager Frank Porter.
“We’re so grateful to Comporium for their partnership with the College and such a generous gift” said Hall. “By reducing labor costs, the van will allow us to be much more efficient in our recycling efforts on campus.”
Brevard College plans to outfit the truck with a lift, which will help with recycling programs, as well as moving tables and other equipment needed for various functions.
“Comporium and Brevard College have a long established relationship,” said Porter. “A few years ago we were able to provide them with a vehicle for maintenance, and we will occasionally have a well-maintained surplus vehicle that may be suitable to donate to a worthy organization.”
Comporium is the local communications company that supplies cable TV, telephone and Internet connectivity to the campus.
