ROCK HILL, S.C. – ( September 22, 2014 ) – Combining security with smart home technology, the new Kwikset®, SmartCode™ 914 deadbolt is now part of Comporium’s ReadyHome security, monitoring and home automation service.

The ReadyHome smart lock allows the user to remotely lock or unlock the door, check door lock status and receive real-time notifications from their ReadyHome app, web portal or touchscreen. The homeowner may also control the deadbolt by using the 10-button backlit keypad or by a traditional key.

To protect against lock bumping (type of lock picking), the 914 Series deadbolt also features BumpGuard™, a patented side locking bar that replaces the traditional pin and tumbler locking mechanism.

The Kwikset 914 deadbolt is offered in three finishes, lifetime polished brass, Venetian bronze and satin nickel.
