New Video On Demand Offers HD Movies, Movies, Free On Demand and Events

ROCK HILL, S.C. – (Nov. 15, 2012) – Comporium announced today that it has successfully launched 30 high definition channels and seven standard definition channels this week.  The locally based communications company said that it now has  more than 100 HD channels in its line-up; plus, it recently launched Video On Demand and introduced the Moxi Whole Home HD DVR Digital Variety Pack.

“We’re excited about this opportunity to bring even more value to our viewers,” said Comporium’s Glenn McFadden, executive vice president and chief operating officer.

“Our customers have requested many of these channels, and the completion of our upgrade project has provided us with the needed additional bandwidth capacity,” said McFadden.

Seven new standard definition channels went to the Digital Variety Pack:  TVOne, Crime & Investigation, ReelzChannel, RLTV, Nat Geo Wild, Military History and FOX Soccer Plus.

The HD Variety Pack received 30 new high definition channels, which include the following:  TVOne HD, G4 HD, BBC America HD, Hallmark Movie Chanel HD, Biography Channel HD, Style HD, OWN HD, Oxygen HD, WE HD, HSN HD, QVC HD, Travel Channel HD, Cooking Channel HD, DIY Network HD, Nat Geo Wild HD, H2 HD, Sprout HD, Tennis Channel HD, FOX Soccer Plus HD, Fuel TV HD, The Outdoor Channel HD, Sportsman Channel HD, Headline News HD, TBN HD, Halogen HD, BET HD, Cinemax HD, TMC HD, Starz HD, and Encore HD.

Video On Demand (VOD) can be found by going to channel 700 or by using the remote’s shortcut for VOD access.

Viewers can browse the On Demand library by categories, such as HD Movies, Movies, Free On Demand and Events.

Comporium added the Moxi Whole Home HD DVR last August.  The Moxi gateway can handle up to six connected TVs.

Viewers can also start watching a show on one TV, then stop and finish watching in another room.  They can also watch any recorded show on any TV, regardless of where they clicked “record.”
