My Internet is not working. What can I try before contacting technical support?

A simple way to troubleshoot your cable modem connection is to ‘power cycle’.

Here’s how it’s done:

1. Unplug the cable modem power cord (thin black cord) from the back of the modem. If you have a router, unplug its power cord as well.

2. Wait approximately 30 seconds.

3. Plug ONLY the cable modem in and wait for the “Cable” or “Online” light to become solid (Note: if the light does not become solid, contact technical support). Then plug the router back in.

4. Restart any computers that are connected. If you still cannot connect to the Internet, contact technical support.
