OS9 Alternative Setup Instructions (using Outlook Express version 5.x)

 

 

  1. To begin, open Outlook Express. You may have an icon on your desktop, or it may be located on your Hard Drive.

 

  1. The New Account Wizard may start automatically.  If so, proceed to Step 5.

 

  1. On the Tools menu, click Accounts.

 

 

 

  1. Click Add, and then click Mail to open the Internet Connection Wizard.

 

 

 

  1. On the Your Name page of the wizard, enter your name as you want it to appear to everyone who gets e-mail from them.  Most people use their full name, but you can use any name (even a nickname) that people will recognize. Click the right arrow to move to the next screen.

 

 

6.      On the Internet E-mail Address page, enter your e-mail address, and then click the right arrow to move to the next screen.

 

7.      On the E-mail Server Names page, enter the following server names and then click the right arrow to move to the next screen.

Incoming mail server (POP3): mail.comporium.net

Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.comporium.net

 

 

 

  1. On the Internet Mail Logon page, enter your Account ID (including @comporium.net) and password. Click the right arrow to move to the next screen.

 

 

 

  1. Next to the Account name box, enter your E-mail Address.  Next, ensure the box labeled Include this account in my “Send and Receive All” schedule has a check in it.

 

 

 

  1. Click Finish. The e-mail account is ready to use.
