I’m having trouble receiving mail. What is the problem?
(1) Check your e-mail account settings within your mail client. Ensure the server names are (POP) “mail.Comporium.net” and (SMTP) “smtp.Comporium.net
Verifying an Outlook Express E-mail Configuration:
A) Click on Start” > Control Panel and open the Mail tab.
B) Under Internet Accounts, click on the Mai” tab. Highlight your account and select Properties.
C) Browse to the Servers tab to ensure your servers are as shown. You can also verify your account name and password here.
D) Select OK and close out of Internet Accounts.

(2) Ensure that your username and password are correctly entered into your e-mail client settings (see above)
(3) Record any errors which you are receiving in the client. These will be helpful to technical support in diagnosing and fixing your issue.
Common Error Codes:
A) SMTP error 5.7.1 virus (VIRUS NAME) Detected by ClamAV = You may have a virus in an attachment.
B) SMTP error 421 4.3.2 Connection rate limit exceeded = Due to virus and spam activity, we have a cap of 1500 daily messages per customer. Should you or your business require to send a higher amount of e-mail please let us know and we will be happy to white-list you.
C) SMTP error 550 5.7.1 max. message size = The message you are trying to send exceeds our limit of 20 MB. Please either zip the file and resend, or find an alternative means of sending.
D) 0x800CCC19 – Timeout. You may be sending or receiving a large message. You may want to ensure that your timeout setting within your mail client is set higher than 60 seconds. For assistance in increasing this limit, please contact Technical Support.
E) 0x800CCC0E Failed to connect to server. Please ensure you are have the proper servers entered above by referencing step 1.
F) 0x800CCC91 – Invalid Username.
G) 0x800CCC92 – Invalid Password.
H) 0x800CCC6E – Your IP address may be flagged for SPAM or Virus activity. Please contact technical support.
(4) Ensure that any security software with e-mail scanning enabled isn’t causing the problem. You can do this by temporarily disabling the software and attempting to receive messages again.
