Mission

The Comporium Pioneer Club is part of a national organization, the Independent Telecommunications Pioneer Association. The Comporium club is made up of approximately 240 individuals from the Fort Mill, Rock Hill, and Lancaster areas who are employed in or retired from the telecommunications industry.

The mission of the pioneer club is to preserve the history, traditions, and ideals of the Independent Telecommunications Industry and to initiate and carry out activities that are considered to be of a social, community, or welfare nature.

The main goal of our club is to provide community services that will not only benefit the people served, but also our members and sponsoring companies as well. Some of our annual activities include co-sponsoring blood drives with Comporium and the American Red Cross, sponsoring a team to walk in the Light the Night Walk-A-Thon, collecting school supplies and duffle bags for children, and Calls to Santa during Christmasville. These are only a few of the projects we carry out each year. We also provide monetary donations to many worthy causes and individuals in need of assistance.
